Energy Wheels
"Energy Wheels" is a series of family photographs embroidered with energy. The photo was taken by my grandfather Manuel in 1960. I found the negatives in my grandmother's wardrobe when she died. I never met Manuel, but I have their images, the camera, and some furniture, the most precious being a desk, his studio desk.
Manuel had two analog cameras, with which he took photographs in 35mm and 120mm. Many of those frames were never seen on paper since developing was very expensive at that time. The negatives, developed in cyanotype, are unique originals from his 120mm films.
This entire series-both the negatives and the physical artworks-was completely lost in January 2026 during the fire at Bosquegracias Land and HomeStudio.
